Dyslexia is a common learning disability that affects approximately 20 percent of the United States. It is a hereditary neurological brain condition that equally effects males and females with average or higher intelligence. Those with dyslexia have, at a minimum, difficulty learning to read, write, and spell. In addition, roughly 40% of those with dyslexia struggle with coexisting learning deficits such as dysgraphia, dyscalculia, attention deficit disorder, and non verbal learning disorder. Although there is no cure, dyslexia can be successfully mitigated. With proper screening and intervention, those with dyslexia can develop the necessary skills to succeed. However, due to the financial burden, many go without and continue to struggle in school and in the workplace.  With your assistance, Enlighten Learning Resource, Inc. can help relieve this burden.
